Peerage

About the Peerage

Members of the peerage are individuals who have either made significant contributions to the nation or have offered valuable financial support to help sustain its functions and activities.

Holders of the same title are considered equal in precedence, regardless of how their title was granted. The only exception are the individuals in the line of succession, whose seniority follows their position.

To respect the privacy of donors, this page includes only those who have received titles for reasons other than financial contributions. As titles are also sometimes given as gifts or honors, listing the full register of nobility would not be appropriate. In the past, peers who received their titles through financial means were given the option to be listed publicly, but due to low interest, this practice was discontinued.
